January 3, 2000 D.C. Office of Tax and Revenue and IRS to "Kick-Off" 2000 Tax Filing Season WASHINGTON, D.C. - The District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue and the Internal Revenue Service will "kick-off" the 2000 tax-filing season. Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Tax and Revenue Dr. Natwar M. Gandhi, and IRS Acting District Director Marie Medeck, will jointly introduce new forms for the 1999 tax year; comment on this year's tax changes and outreach initiatives; and discuss joint efforts underway to assist Washington area taxpayers with their tax returns.
