Tax Rates and Tax Burdens

The following documents describe and provide the rates for income, property, sales and use, and other taxes in the District of Columbia.

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer's Office of Research and Analysis produces an annual report that compares the rates and burdens of major taxes in the District with states and other large cities in the United States. The office also analyzes the relative tax position of the District compared to surrounding jurisdictions.
