Tax Relief and Tax Credits

Real Property Tax Exemption

Properties owned by some non-profit, educational, charitable, and religious organizations may be exempt from real property tax. To get an exemption, a property must be used for an exempt purpose. See DC Code § 47-1002.

If you believe your property qualifies, file an application for Exemption from DC Real Property Tax (FP-300). This form is available in Tax Forms/Publications under Real Property.
