Freqently Asked Questions

Vendors want to know:

What is the payment release date for my invoice?

All payments are released 30 days from its invoice receipt date.

Can I pick up my checks from the Vendor Information Center?

To confirm check pick-up, please contact the District agency that distributed the check.

The agency will not respond quickly to my payment requirements. What can I do?

The Center assists all vendors in obtaining their payment promptly; in determining why their payment is delayed; and ensuring that each vendor's payment process is complete.

Why does receiving my payment take so long?

Typically, when the vendor does not have a contract or purchase order prior to providing its service to a District agency, or if a vendor did not receive their report from a District agency in a timely manner, delays payment of services. To prevent a delay in payment, be sure to have certified proof of the service provided, or 'proof of performance,' and be sure to obtain a vendor report from the agency. This will help to speed up the payment process.

When are Medicaid payments released?

Medicaid payments are released 20 days after the ending cycle date. Payments are released twice a month, during the first and third weeks of the month.
